X-RATED SYNTH

Greg Feldwick is 23 years old and from Bath. He makes noises as Slugabed. His first releases were on Stuff, Ramp and then Planet Mu but now he is signed to the mothership, Ninja Tune. His music is suffused with a unique mix of humour, next level production, dancefloor smarts and melancholic emotion.
Single 'SEX' precedes the album Time Team and features remixes from Ninja labelmate Daedelus and Groundislava - get a free download of the Daedelus remix here.

WHEN FALLING FEELS LIKE FLYING

Shook's latest work has just been reprinted! Available once again in a super fancy limited white 12" vinyl, which comes with a high quality full color sleeve with illustration by Cris Kuhlen. One of those things that should be on every real music lover's shelf.
"The Rise & Fall EP" finds Shook in a transitional mode, as the old school funk meets modern electro sound of The Glow has been refined and honed into something more mature, dramatic and powerful.

The Rise And Fall EP by Shook (Official)

In the contemporary musical landscape between the nu-boogie scene headed up by artists such as Dam Funk, and the French house disciples such as Breakbot, Shook is carving out a niche all of his own: A single-minded artist with a unique and unalterable musical vision.

You can get the 12" (whitch includes the digital version) from Bandcamp or you download it also from iTunes or Beatport.

EARGASM

Afrobeat at his best or pop commercial fakeness? Fela Kuti or Kanye West?
Millions of people freaks out for the Mtv's VMAs. For the real music lovers out there, we suggest to go for the MMAs, the Mozambique Music Awards.

If art was a human being, music would be the orgasm.

Some songs get stuck in the head, while others are stuck in the blood.

Life without music would be less noisy, less cluttered and less interesting.

FANTASTICBOT

By listening to Breakbot's new summer anthem "Fantasy" it seems like Quincy Jones started to hang out with the Ed Banger guys... which is a lil' hard to imagine but so freaking good to my ears.
Self titled ep coming out on the 20th of June. Gorgeous video directed by Tony Frontal.

INTO THE BLUE

Aurora Snow, the first EP by Blue Satellite has litteraly blown us outter space.
This is one of those cases when you hear something that sounds exactly like how you love music to feel like, forcing you to smile (scary thing, even the cover and the graphic theme is so Wwk style).
The synth and the bass are working amazingly toghether like astronauts floating in a spaceship. Fresh, smooth, classy, futuristic, funky, catchy, dreamy, groovy... i'm running out of adjectives here, I think it's better you just listen and njoy the liquid pop lockin' of master Kian.

Lil bonus the space cowboys out there, here's Wwk's first choice remix of Aurora pt.1.

HEY YOU DEEJAY!

Today it's sunny and i'm feeling funky. It's the perfect day to introduce to you A.U. Mix DJ, a black music pioneer from northern Italy. The man is on the scene since 1983, and he's still bringing it with burning passion. This is real stuff, no computers, mp3s, final scratch or any other farces. This is all about good ol'fashion vinyl mania.

TRIPLE BANG

BARBRA IS SO ROUGH

Cheap happyness everybody!

...Davvero ironico il confronto
