At first, i though this was an annoying sort of interactive promotion Sony made for the new Vaio serie. Well, actually that's Project Shiphunt is. But it's also much more than this. If you're not too used to Google Earth, or if you never gave it a try, this is the right moment to install the plugin on your browsers and experience the amazing sansation of holding the world in your hand.

EPPUR SI MUOVE

Dopo oltre quattro anni dal lancio della Wii, Sony ha deciso che è giunto il momento che anche la Playstation 3 abbia il suo "motion controller".
La cosa sarebbe già di persè abbastanza ridicola, ma c'è ben di più.
Tralasciando questioni estetiche, il "Playstation Move", questo è il fantasioso nome che gli hanno dato, funzionerà in combinazione con la telecamera EyeToy, in commercio dal 2002, e saranno infatti venduti anche in bundle.
E la differenza fondamentale sta propio qua: invece di avere una telecamera che individua la posizione del controller nello spazio, nel caso della Wii questa dinamica funziona alla rovescia: è il controller stesso ad avere una "telecamera" che individua la sensor bar sullo schermo. Ciò fà sì che la console Nintendo riesca non solo a sapere dove il Wiimote si trova nella stanza, ma anche in che direzione è puntato. La nuova "trovata" di Sony è dunque un passo avanti... e due indietro.
La prossima vera evoluzione del modo in cui giochiamo, che probabilmente sarà quella dell'head tracking, è ancora lontana. Spero
