KEEP ON SMOKIN'

Today one of the last true heres left us. I'm going to say one thing out loud: I've always been of the Frazier side.
That's because before being a boxing legend he was such a great humang being, incredibly humble despite of his legacy, incredibly classy both in victory and defeat. Out of the ring, thanks to his self confidence and his soothing, placid temperament he always kept his composure, staying away from all that useless showboating and ridicolous cocky behaviour of his opponents. Hey... just keep on smokin' up there tough guy.

LIVING SHADOW

The guys at Billboard always bring us juicy exclusive contants, and a few things are more amazing than sitting at Mophonics Studio in New York with Brooklyn's homeboys Twin Shadow. The indie-pop act did not disappoint, performing a few tracks and speaking on the group's success to date. Light, airy synths from Wynne Bennett wafted in and out of George Lewis Jr.'s new wave-inspired vocals and guitar, while bassist Russ Manning picked his way through grooving basslines and drummer Andy Bauer kept the pulsing beat.

SOUTHERN LIGHTS

This planet is really going bananas. A cloud of charged particles from the sun slammed into Earth Monday, setting off an intense geomagnetic storm that spawned northern lights across the U.S.—even in the Deep South, where they more often appeared as rare, all-red auroras. Sky shows were reported in more than half the 50 states, including Georgia, Alabama, and Arkansas.

REMIXES FOR FREE

Broke For Free is one of those artists which make us still believe in mankind. Despite his young age, he touches an incredible bunch of genres, from electro dub to hip hop and glitch. His sound is so incredibly wise, so deep that why we couldn't believe he was giving away most of his albums and ep's straight out on free download. You see, that's just how it should work, sharing the love. For music or whatever else, what you give is what you get.
This is a really precious collection of remixes he made in ode to some of his favorite songs. This album is his attempt to draw influences from many harder hitting artists and blend those sounds with the more tranquil and melodic sounds.
Free download of 6-track album in your choice of MP3 320, FLAC, or just about any other format you could possibly desire.

EYE LISTENING

Repositories of stories and its enriching emotions, the covers, that accomodate the existing panoply of musical genres, are the motto for this exibition. The focus is made on album covers that often conquer our memory even when music slightly reached our ears.
Major graphic disasters or deified, unduly ignored or zeitgeists, covers provide listening with a touch and an image, with the act of collection and share. From cover to cover, going thru all the stories (and histories), Cãoceito + Burdman wrote a new one to the sound of a song that repeats: I need nothing, I’ve everything I need.

EVIL DREAMS

This amazing cinematic footage offers a good glimpse into the gritty, evolving story of Diablo III. As Deckard Cain's niece, Leah, struggles to make sense of her uncle's mysterious and disturbing notations, she bears witness to a dark vision. Azmodan, Lord of Sin, towers over the fragile young woman, swearing his armies of the burning Hells shall pour forth into Sanctuary, ravishing the world and all hope of resistance.
HIGH definition is HIGHLY recomended.

GLITCHED CINEMA

Glitch electro is an electronic music sub genre based of glitches, which basically are techinical errors turned into a filthy unpredictable underground sound, and The Glitch Mob is the prophet of this church.
If you like both full electro bass vibes and motion pictures you're gonna love this, even if it is not intended to tell a story. The only aim is to relate sound to motion, so each and every cut you see was picked exclusively for that purpose.

Segment 1. Tv on the Radio - Red Dress (Glitch Mob Remix)
Segment 2. Evil Nine - All the Cash (Glitch Mob Remix)
Segment 3. Nalepa - Monday (Glitch Mob Remix)
Segment 4. edIT - Crunk de Gaulle (instrumental)

HOT TOES

Those canadians at Ransom surely knows how to keep their feet warm. Check out this woolly-awesome collaboration with Adidas and its very classic and clean look despite of the unusual material. It's the Strata FW11.

SIR... MA'AM?!

Jack Vale is the king of pranks. Teaming up with his uncle John, he's the best at two things: farting in public with his own pooter device and getting people paranoid (and eventually get punched). He made more than 400 pranks, and this is probably my favourite one so far.

LEMON CANDIES

This one is malincoholia at its finest and it just feels good to my ears, perfectly moody for today.
It's "1994" by Lovelife, which are made of one half of Ghosthustler (Noah Jackson) and half is of Neon Indian (Alan Palomo)... 'nuff said.
Some memories are weirdly sweet and sour at the same, and when you feel that taste you know those are the ones that will never fade away.

THANK YOU STEVE

Jamie Lidell is such an inspired producer, and iMaschine is such an amazing music app for iPhone/iPad. It's "nothing else" than the brand new portable version of Maschine, a real successful software by Native Instruments.
Here's the result of the collision between the two of them: an exclusive version of "A Little Bit More" from the album Multiply (2005, Warp) made up while relaxing in bed. The entire performance was done live in one take, with nothing pre-recorded, and no post-production edits made to the song.

EARGASM

Afrobeat at his best or pop commercial fakeness? Fela Kuti or Kanye West?
Millions of people freaks out for the Mtv's VMAs. For the real music lovers out there, we suggest to go for the MMAs, the Mozambique Music Awards.

If art was a human being, music would be the orgasm.

Some songs get stuck in the head, while others are stuck in the blood.

Life without music would be less noisy, less cluttered and less interesting.

BIZ WAR

We're living the reboot era in every entertainment field, and here goes another one. A real brilliant one actually, which masterly transforms the glorious Syndacate series created by Bullfrog Productions back in 1993 from isometric carnage into a breath takin first person shooter.
In the not too distant future, the world is divided into regions controlled by mega-corporations known as Syndicates. In this future, businnes is war, and you are the weapon: the latest prototype agent for Eurocorp, one of the most ruthless Syndicates in a world dominated by greed. In single-player, embark on a unique sci-fi shooter adventure of corruption and revenge, as you utilize DART 6 chip-enhanced technology to breech, manipulate and control the wired world. Or form your own Syndicate in four-player co-op and dominate nine action-packed missions inspired by the original Syndicate game.

EIGHTIES STRIKES BACK

Think about Tom Cruise and what he's all about. Now flip that concept upside down and you will have the enchanting music of Com Truise (one of the many pseudonyms of New Jersey designer/musician Seth Haley).
The nostalgia bit inevitably comes up, so let's get that out of the way. Yes, his songs tap classic sci-fi and proto-electro in a way that is distinctly early eighties in scope. But they're also remarkably weird—stutter-step proggy and intoxicatingly psychedelic, like those classic touchstones got drunk on lava lamp juice inside a pinball machine. After his well-received Cyanide Sisters EP, a grip of remixes for artists like Twin Shadow, Neon Indian, and, uh, Daft Punk, and a few floating MP3s, Truise's first LP, Galactic Melt, has finally entered brainspaces this summer.
Hence the fully blown-out treatment for "Brokendate," which rolls everything from eighties cop noir to Blade Runner retro-futurism to slo-mo Hype Williams nods into one five-minute world unto itself.

SPARE TIME ACTION

The new Forum Snowboards' video is dropping on October 18th and it's named Vacation. Even if the mighty John Jackson won't be in this one due to an injury, you can still expect some rad shredding from both veterans and youngbloods.
Crack open a cold one, or kick-start the blender and fire up that Piña Colada — it’s time to celebrate! Forum is proud to announce the newest installment in their vast library of team-inspired videos. After winning back-to-back awards for Forever and Fuck It, a little team Vacation was long overdue. This last season was all about taking advantage of traveling on someone else’s dime, and focusing more on good times than hard work. Ironically, when the pressure went down, the progression of snowboarding went up ... way up.

ACOUSTIC KIDS

Like a Version is a segment on the Australian radio station Triple J which pops up whenever artists are available and willing to do it, though mainly on the Breakfast show. It involves Australian, and more recently, international artists playing live, acoustic versions of some of their favourite songs. This segment's popularity has led to, so far, the release of six compilation CDs.
Enjoy one of the sweetest moments from the show: The Kooks covering Kids by MGMT. You can find it in on Triple J's Like a Version volume five.

ROYAL AIR

The brand new Nike Air Royal Mid SO is one of the classiest sneaker we've seen in a long time. With regal lineage, this sneaker lives up to its lofty name. There’s Air Max comfort, a unique Stitched Outsole that bonds the upper with the crepe rubber sole and a premium finish that showcases the shoe’s simple (but stylish) aesthetic. The three available colorways—Beachtree, Cool Grey and Black—have bright color pops in the soles, too. Air-Sole units in the heel and a perforated suede upper deliver comfort, breathability and a quick reminder that the Air Royal is part of a very special family..
