ANALOGUE ARMY

Japanese company PowerShovel was founded for one reason only: a sheer passion for analogue photography. For Carhartt they are now producing one of their most beautiful models – the Blackbird Fly – in a distinctively Carhartt design.

John Nese, the owner of Galcos Soda Pop Stop in LA is a true hero. His father ran it as a grocery store, and when the time came for John to take charge, he decided to convert it into the ultimate soda-lovers destination.
About 500 pops line the shelves, sourced lovingly by John from around the world. John has made it his mission to keep small soda-makers afloat and help them find their consumers. PEOPLES POISON

Karl Marx once said that the religion is the opium of the people. In the case of Jonestown we all wish it was just that.
With "Go Outside" the astonishing duo Cults (guitarist Brian Oblivion and singer Madeline Follin) cuddle our ears reminding us of something we should never forget...

Peoples Temple Agricultural Project was an intentional community in northwestern Guyana formed by the Peoples Temple, a cult led by Jim Jones. It became internationally notorious in 1978, when 909 members (234 were children) died in Jonestown from cyanide poisoning, in an event termed "revolutionary suicide" by Jones and some members on an audio tape of the event and in prior discussions.
This is the single greatest loss of American civilian life in a non-natural disaster until the events of September 11, 2001.

THE MANSOUR SHOW

There's a tennis player who based his entire professional career on the what's the real engine of sports, the fans, entertaining them with unhuman trick shots and crazy comedic moments. His name is Mansour Bahrami.
As a child he worked as a ball boy, and unable to afford a racket of his own improvised with frying pans, and broom handles to teach himself the game. His progress was brought to an abrupt halt when the Islamic Revolution led to the banning of professional sport in Iran. He set off for France with his life savings, which he gambled in a casino and lost!
Now aged 30 he had missed his chance to make his mark on the professional game but still managed to reach the Finals of the French Open Doubles in 1989. Bahrami reluctantly withdrew from the circuit in the early 90s and when the Champions Tour came into being in 1993, Mansour had found his calling. He now spends over 40 weeks of the year playing in tournaments and exhibitions around the world.

THE RIVIERA BAY

This year we're getting down with the summer sensation like we never did before. It's not about us, it's about the cool. And in this case it's about The Bay, one of the classiest tunes (and one of the best basslines) from the ultra talented english group Metronomy. Their third album English Riviera is simply outstanding, the perfect companion for shore cruising.

If you're wondering where have you heard this before maybe it's because you came here a few days ago... and casually listened/downloaded the Edwin Van Cleef's June mixtape.

BLAZING THE TRAIL

Retro futurism. That's what the Nike Blazer Mid AB is all about.

NO PICKLES

Instead of producing ten different pointless promos japanese jeans company Edwin choosed to promote his last collection with an enchanting Easy Rider style short. Hail to the Internet... once again.
The bike theme is partly due to the culture for customisation on the streets of the brand's home city - Tokyo - and simply down to the feelings one experiences riding a motorcycle with friends. A sense of freedom, and of sharing with others the same need for flight and independence. Customisation of ones own motorcycle parallels breaking in ones own denims, unique in spirit.
The true spirit of Edwin Jeans is created by the person living in them, making everyday count with yesterdays memories etched into the rich indigo fabric, in the knowledge that tomorrow’s good times are still to be created.
